Michelle Visser, LMHC
Michelle is a Licensed Psychotherapist and Certified Early Intervention Specialist. Her career has included in-home and private practice therapy. Working with individuals as well as groups, she has assisted those struggling from perinatal mental health challenges, unexpected outcomes of pregnancy/childbirth, and general adjustment to parenting. Michelle has also led parent/child developmental playgroups. She has completed post-graduate training in general Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy specific to the perinatal period.
While working with families, Michelle encountered many who struggled to afford diapers. Due to a lack of available resources, she founded Diaper Circle, a non-profit that provides free diapers to agencies supporting families. As of 2022, over 400,000 diapers have been distributed and she was named a Hero Among Us by the Boston Celtics.
Currently, Michelle creates and facilitates trainings for perinatal professionals and parents on perinatal mental health.
